Broadband access continues to become more critical in the running of

everyday lives, in business and at home.


The Government is keen to encourage competition in this space, and

therefore regulates the market to ensure fair access for new entrants.


Despite this, both Network Operators and Service Providers face problems.


Network Operators invest in infrastructure and typically sell to around 20-30% of the homes passed, a penetration rate often much lower than they promised their investors. 

They therefore need to sell the remainder via wholesale channels. Often multiple networks pass the same home making a sensible ROI even more elusive.


Service Providers need access to more customers. They often don’t

have their own network, so rely on the development of a sophisticated

wholesale market in order to access homes outside of their own

geographical area.


An opportunity is emerging to introduce these two entities with a view to a mutually beneficial relationship.

Once we understood the market dynamics, it became clear that the idea of providing a straightforward way for Network Owners and Service Providers to do business, was a strong differentiator.

Using the strapline 'Wholesale Broadband. Made Simple.' we helped the client to construct a series of simple messages to demystify the proposition.


The idea that Broadband Hub offers a simple process accessed via a common platform proved very easy for prospects to understand in research focus groups.

ACTIVATION:

Connecting more customers.

Helping the UK's fibre industry connect more customers by making it easier to work together.

The initial launch involves a drive to build a community of like-minded contacts on Broadband Hub's Circle platform.


This community will share and grow as the Wholesale Broadband market begins to develop in the UK.
